John Friel

Data Engineer

John Friel joined the Foundation as a data engineer, where he contributes to software integration initiatives and supports the Engineering team's data infrastructure development.

Prior to joining Mellon, John built expertise across healthcare and startup environments, specializing in ETL processing and building data pipelines. His professional background spans both technical implementation and strategic data solutions, bringing a comprehensive approach to data engineering challenges.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in economics and labor and employment relations from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science in business analytics from Southern Methodist University.
