Senior Director of Information Technology

As senior director of Information Technology, Deming Love provides strategic leadership and tactical oversight for the Foundation’s software, infrastructure, engineering, and data.

Prior to joining Mellon, Deming was an independent technology consultant, providing strategic advisory services, planning, and executive project management to senior client leadership in both corporate and non-profit settings. Before launching his consultancy, he served as the vice president of digital strategy for the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, where he built a new interdisciplinary digital department, led the creation of a new brand, and launched a new flagship website. Before the Bank, Deming was a senior member of the IT department at The Pew Charitable Trusts, where he led a team of 19 tasked with enterprise architecture, data management, software development, and solution design and delivery. During his tenure, Deming modernized Pew’s digital portfolio, introducing user-centric design and data-driven optimization. He and his team also introduced enterprise-grade software to manage high-net worth donors, the finance and HR functions, and extramural collaboration.

Deming holds his BA magna cum laude with distinction in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an MA in English Literature from the same institution. He is a past president of the board for the Technology Association of Grantmakers, and previously led diversity efforts as a member of the board of the Beacon Executive Group.
