Rachel Gichinga
Manager of Strategic Initiatives and Planning
Rachel Gichinga serves as manager of strategic initiatives and planning for operations. In this role, she is a project leader and enabler for a wide range of departmental and cross-functional projects for the Foundation’s Operations function.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 2023, Rachel built out the newly created Office of the Founder in Residence at PolicyLink, serving as speechwriter and managing operational and programmatic functions across a variety of initiatives. She previously worked at the nexus of tech, advocacy, and economic opportunity in Kenya and East Africa, having developed and run programs for Intel and the Nike Foundation.
Rachel holds a BA in international relations from the United States International University - Africa and an MUP from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Policy, where she was a Social Sector Leadership Diversity Fellow.
