Camilla Somers

Camilla Somers is manager of strategic initiatives and planning for Higher Learning, as well as across areas of grantmaking and research.

Prior to joining Mellon, Camilla served as a program officer at the International Rescue Committee and as manager of communications in the president’s office at Carnegie Corporation of New York. She began her career as an editor and reporter with the New Jersey Hills Media Group.

She holds an AB in history and Italian studies from Smith College and an MPA from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service.
