"Picturing Met Museum through Visitors' Eyes"

A study conducted by a former volunteer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's MediaLab, Helen D. Wall, examines the characteristics of photographs taken by Museum visitors and how those photos were shared online.  A large set of images from the Museum's Flickr group pool was gathered and analyzed using software tools developed through the Software Environment for the Advancement of Scholarly Research (SEASR) and the Software Solutions Initiative.  The results provide insights into visitor behavior and suggestions of ways to enhance the participant experience both within and outside the Museum.
