"An Orchestra Grapples with Diversity"

The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, a 42-year-old musician-run organization known for its collaborative and democratic approach to rehearsal and performance, is seeking ways to diversify the ensemble at a time when many of the founding musicians are retiring.  A recent grant from the Foundation seeks to help the orchestra develop processes that will allow Orpheus to diversify its membership and to plan for succession in a manner that fits with their distinctive participatory way of working.
