Lynn Nottage Wins Blackburn Prize for Best English-language Play by a Woman

Lynn Nottage has received a 2016 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize for "Sweat." Commissioned by Oregon Shakespeare Festival for its “American Revolutions” cycle, the play explores the demise of US manufacturing work and how poverty is reshaping the American narrative.
