Aiding Artists in Conflict Zones

The Institute of International Education (IIE) is developing a new program to provide assistance to artists who have been persecuted in their home countries for their work or beliefs.  This program, the Artist Protection Fund, will offer fellowships to help place threatened artists in host universities or art centers in hospitable countries.  The IIE launched a similar initiative for scholars in 2002.
