"$3-Million Grant Puts PhD Candidates in 2-Year-College Classrooms"

With a grant from the Mellon Foundation, 27 PhD students at the City University of New York's Graduate Center will begin teaching a wide range of humanities courses at LaGuardia College.  The initiative aims to change how universities prepare graduate-student teachers, and better train them for careers at community colleges (which serve nearly half of the nation's undergraduates).
