Rokeya Rahman serves as assistant director, grants management and operations.

Prior to joining Mellon, Rokeya was a grants manager at the Helmsley Charitable Trust, where she managed grantmaking operations and compliance across Helmsley’s programs. She conducted staff trainings, maintained the foundation’s grantmaking database, handled the grants testing of the annual audit, and implemented process improvements to ensure a seamless grantmaking process. Before joining Helmsley, she was a corporate responsibility specialist at JPMorgan Chase, where she supported grantmaking operations and helped execute the firm’s public engagement activities. Rokeya began her career at education nonprofits, working in development at Link Community School and on corporate relations at NYU Stern School of Business.

She holds a BA in political science from Rutgers University and is currently pursuing an executive MPA from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
