Martha Scott Burton
Manager of Presidential Special Projects and Research
Martha Scott Burton is manager of presidential special projects and research in the Office of the President. In this position, she provides high-level research support to the President and the Office of the President; plays an integral role in presidential communications and programmatic planning for both public and internal events; and represents the Office of the President in several cross-departmental initiatives.
Prior to joining Mellon, Martha Scott held curatorial and research positions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Morgan Library & Museum, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and several other art spaces. She has also contributed to a variety of exhibition catalogues, academic publications, and literary works.
Martha Scott holds a BA magna cum laude from Columbia University and an MA from The University of Texas at Austin, both in art history.
