Millions of Dollars Are Pouring in to Help New York City Arts Groups. Will It Inspire More?

The NYC COVID-19 Response & Impact Fund will "help social service and arts and cultural organizations struggling to survive the slew of demands and cancellations brought on by the coronavirus outbreak.  The hope, organizers say, is that the [fund] will be just a start. They intend it to serve as a model for similar funds or grants outside New York, to address the unprecedented shutdown of museums, concert halls and other venues and its impact on artists, writers and musicians."
