Mohamed Haian Abdirahman serves as the Foundation's project archivist. In this role, he coordinates appraisal, description, and general processing of the Foundation's archival records.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Abdirahman worked as an archives graduate research assistant for the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health. In this position, he built databases documenting historical grantmaking and contributed to the taxonomy used in the foundation's Fluxx implementation. He has previously held archival processing positions with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the University of Texas Libraries Human Rights Documentation Initiative, Texas Folklife, and the Library of Congress.
Mr. Abdirahman holds a BA in English literature from North Dakota State University, as well as an MS in information studies and MPA in public affairs from the University of Texas at Austin, with concentrations in archives, records management, and public administration.
