Emily Waters serves as a program associate in the Arts and Cultural Heritage program at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Ms. Waters was a professional dancer for many years as a member of the corps de ballet at Pennsylvania Ballet and the Royal Danish Ballet, where she danced in works by a broad range of classical and contemporary choreographers. After transitioning from a career in the performing arts to arts administration, she was awarded a BAM Professional Development Program Fellowship through the DeVos Institute. Prior to the Foundation, she worked at American Ballet Theatre in the development and executive offices. Ms. Waters graduated summa cum laude from St. Mary's College of California with a BA in performing arts, and holds an MS degree in nonprofit management from Columbia University.
