Carolyn Wendrowski

Carolyn Wendrowski is director of operations and business systems and interim IT director at the Foundation.  Ms. Wendrowski works closely with the Foundation's Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Secretary in setting and adapting operations strategy, and leading strategic enterprise initiatives in partnership with the Information Technology team and staff across the Foundation.

Ms. Wendrowski received dual bachelor's degrees from the University of Denver in international business and French with a minor in art.  She holds a master's in information systems from the University of Colorado at Denver and a certificate in business project management from NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies.  She is also a Project Management Institute certified Project Management Professional and Agile Certified Practitioner, and a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master. 

Prior to joining the Foundation in 2020, Ms. Wendrowski was chief technology officer at the Rockefeller Foundation where she managed global IT operations.  Earlier in her career she worked as a technical services manager and implementation consultant for a software company and a software developer for a student loan servicing company.  Ms. Wendrowski is an active member of the Technology Association of Grantmakers and Foundation Information Systems Managers groups.
